Bright Sparks Pre-school is a well-established; Ofsted registered and inspected Playgroup/Nursery, offering quality care for children aged from 9 months until they are eligible to take a primary school place. It is run by the friendly, highly experienced team of Gail Healey, Carol Mullan and Gemma Aldred. The independent Setting occupies an idyllic rural setting within Empingham Primary School. We are very proud of our close relationship with Empingham Primary School, working together to provide the children with an easy transition from Setting to Reception.
Children play, learn and grow when they are excited and engaged, we offer excellent teaching and the chance to achieve this is in a modern well equipped environment with a weekly timetable of well-planned play activities and themed topics, following the Early Years Development Matters.
We are proud of our close parent/carer partnership forming a bond with yourselves in order to learn about your children's skills and interests so that we can develop these further at the setting, we endeavour to keep parents and carers fully informed of their children's progress through our Tapestry online Learning Journals.
Bright Sparks is based in the main building of Empingham Primary School. Our Setting comprises of a main room, cloakroom, toilets and hand washing area. We are also proud to have an enclosed secure outdoor natural play area which gives the children the freedom to choose whether they want to play indoors or outdoors all year round and in all weathers. Being attached to the school we also make use of all the school's facilities which includes the playing field and playgrounds, a valuable facility to have when integrating children into school. Access to our Setting is located via the rear entrance.
